Allevia Hospitals, one of the country's largest private surgical facilities, provides comprehensive healthcare services via an integrated care strategy that results in better health journeys for patients across our four Auckland sites, including our landmark hospitals in Epsom and Greenlane and our dedicated purpose-built, state-of-the-art Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) in Parnell.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Transformation Project and Change Manager to join us full-time, on a fixed term contract for 12 months to lead and embed sustainable change to support the successful adoption of the TDOC tracking system across our Operating Rooms, Sterile Stores, and CSSD.
About the role:
This role is responsible for leading the successful delivery of the TDOC system and ensuring its sustained adoption across our sites. Working alongside clinical leaders and operational teams, you will drive and facilitate change—embedding practical, sustainable workflows across instrument tracking, picklist management, and sterilisation processes, while ensuring consistent adoption and proactively addressing barriers to success.
Key Accountabilities include:
Work in partnership with the TDOC vendor and internal ICS team to support delivery of the overall project plan and align system capability with operational processes
Ensure TDOC-enabled workflows are embedded across Operating Rooms, Sterile Stores, and CSSD, with consistent and sustained adoption of new practices
Drive change management, staff engagement, and capability building to transition teams to new instrument tracking, picklist, and sterilisation workflows
Monitor adherence to standardised processes and data practices, ensuring consistency across sites
Identify and address barriers to adoption, supporting teams through transition and embedding new ways of working
Contribute to the integration of TDOC into business-as-usual operations, ensuring sustainable use and ongoing optimisation
About You:
This position requires strong change leadership, the ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams, and experience embedding system-enabled workflows within complex, multi-site healthcare environments. As our ideal candidate you will also bring:
Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, Health Administration, or related field
Professional project & change management certifications e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile PM, PROSCI, ADKAR or similar
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing transformation and change initiatives within complex, multi-site organisations preferably within the healthcare sector
Proven experience delivering clinical systems or tracking platforms (e.g. TDOC or equivalent) and experience with sterile stores & CSSD
Experience with system integration (e.g. TrakCare or PAS/EMR platforms)
Proven capability to deliver large-scale process improvement, systems implementation, or operational redesign projects
Strong financial and analytical skills for business case development and project evaluation
