I have been working at Fonterra full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Everything you need to do your job and to be a long time employee is provided for you. Support for every kind of issue is available and staff are happy and friendly and willing to help. Flexible hours are an option for most and a healthy work-life balance is encouraged. Managers are strongly encouraged to approve most staff requests unless there is a good reason why they can’t.

    Cons

Not a con necessarily but you will need to be extremely independent, self-driven and motivated. Your time and training is self-determined and you will need to be proactive in filling your days and weeks yourself by seeking out work and training on your own in order to be productive. This is a pro for some and a con for others

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at Fonterra full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Ok salary for NZ but low on an international setup

    Cons

Incompetent management, inconsistent strategy, no chance for research, no future thinking, few opportunities if you are not in the right clique, mind numbing work, management who does not listen to anyone below them, lots of walking dead (staff who are broken but are stuck in the location). Only join them if you really really need a job, otherwise do anything else.
