Pros

This organization is vibrant, growing vastly, seemingly exciting, and the internal energy is somewhat above mediocre. Not every department/silo outwardly operates the same, e.g. GA (HR, Finance, Admin), RD, Sales and Marketing. The benefits were good; there's a cell phone and internet reimbursement. They invest in their brand and you will get great swag (backpacks, mugs, clothes, etc.)

Cons

o9 presents itself as a "flat organization" with great career growth potential and an exciting "fast pace environment", however, there are extreme and detrimental strategy breakdowns between executive leadership and middle management. No one will be honest about the fact that despite being a Global organization, neither region or department shares the same priorities or interests. The priorities of the organization are way off base with employee growth. Burn out is very high and they have been receiving feedback on work life balance for years but have done nothing to improve it. The only interest shared is business profit and company comfortability despite lack of employee growth and happiness. They're an organization that does not mention their employees in its core values and appears to put the bottom line over those who contribute towards it. There's leadership that will not only use you, they will create or contribute to employee Imposter Syndrome by consistently ridiculing, editing, questioning and putting down your hard work, as well as avoid recognizing contributions/successes, and gossip about you with other team members (including leadership). It's very difficult to grow n on this organization. Adopt extreme caution in leaving your current position or company because you will be a hot target for this organization.

Pros

Innovative technology and really large current clients. Everyone is made to like an equal due to o9 calling themselves a "flat" organization. Team outings (virtual or in person) can be fun. Offices are nice.

Cons

You will be used and abused. Management is shady and will pit people against each other by talking down on other team members behind their backs. The company will appear to be inclusive and diverse and even has a "people and culture" team... however management is anything but that hiring only a "specific" type and being quite sexist. The team culture is fake at o9. Good reviews were "encouraged" to help recruiting.

A bad parody of everything that's wrong in Tech

Pros

Nice office memorabilia. You will find a few outstanding professionals.

Cons

If you were to put together a parody of the worst traits and tropes of the "Tech bro" culture, you would get o9. Unfortunately, this parody is not amusing. They like to portray a culture of performance, sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. It's nothing more than window-dressing for a dysfunctional, top-down, dishonest, and aggressive working environment. Managers are ill-prepared to lead teams and strive to get a cohort of yes-men to agree with every viewpoint they have. Moreover, it is a culture where people throw each other under the bus consistently. Don't take this testimonial as proof, look at their attrition rates and the testimonials of current and former employees. They detail the ways this culture has impacted them. An inner circle of early employees has seized every shred of independent thought and forced the rest of the workforce into compliance while rewarding each other as "high performers" every chance they get despite having below-average operational results.
