Leadership has created a vanilla corporate

Pros

Some teams still maintain a strong internal culture and collaborative spirit. Compensation is average for the industry, but additional benefits—like flexible working or wellness programs—are above average and appreciated.

Cons

Workday increasingly feels like any other large corporation. Despite frequent restructures, the same senior leaders remain in place, limiting meaningful change. The decision to outsource roles like office and workplace management has diluted the company culture, which once felt more distinct and people-focused.

Pros

- Great Pay and Benefits - Awesome company trips (travel) - Fun team and nice office

Cons

- Big expectations on workload - Expected to sacrifice personal life and work outside of normal work hours - New CEO seems to be taking us in a less culture first direction (which is what drove the nice team environment) and into a churn numbers environment

Thank you so much for this review. We know that not everything is perfect, but Workday do heavily pride ourselves on the way we treat our Workmates and the environment of an employee first culture that's been installed since day one. We recognise there is some areas for improvement and we appreciate your transparency as well as the praise you've provided in your review for Workday.

Pros

Pays average (used to pay good stock options to employees until 2022, but that has changed)

Cons

- Loss of culture after CEO and most senior leadership left the company in 2022. Used to feel like a startup, now feels just like another corporation trying to extract as much overtime from employees for free by creating unrealistic expectations. - Compensation used to be good, but stock options packages were aggressively cut since 2022 - Inside politicking and Conflict of Interests have become commonplace among manager and directors.
