Pros

Its really hard to find any pro's if I am honest.

Cons

When I joined I was told I would get a 4 day working week after my probation which when I finished I did not get it at all and in the last term we get it once every 2 weeks, but it is used to punish people rather than an incentive. Upper management are so far removed offering no support for people on the ground. Boast training and only offer rubbish on line courses that have no recognition and is not worth the paper its printed on. I have been asking for over a year for a decent training course. Learners are treated as cash cows. Tasks constantly dropped on you at the last minute with totally unachievable deadlines.

A professional group

Pros

A welcoming organisation with various opportunities and training. Many supportive colleagues across the group, in various roles. High standards expected.

Cons

Induction tends to focus on the overall organisation, with role-specific induction not being managed so well. Many localised systems weren't in place and created a great deal of challenge. I don't think this was widespread across the group.

Bureaucratic and opaque

Pros

In theory our school will receive capital investment.

Cons

Endless corporate style training courses to complete Impossible to access IT support to sort out issues with company-wide systems such as payroll. Have been unable to access my payslip now for three months as the new system doesn't work Despite the fine words education of children does not seem to be a priority for the management, just ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and employment policies by tick box activities. No real support for teachers.

Pros

4 day working week for work/life balance training / CPD opportunities Access to clinicians for advice and support Opportunity to reflect / feedback supportive staff / supportive SLT Lovely children and a privilege to be part of their unique journey. wellbeing opportunities - staff social / lunch provided / 4 day working week / thank you gifts / shout outs, etc

Cons

work load can be heavy at times - it is difficult to manage it all at times / alongside personal life commitments communication emails / teams messages, etc - they seem to come from 'everywhere' it is time-consuming to keep up with / respond to - which further impact my getting through my own workload.

Lots of Training

Recommend

Pros

Outcomes First Group provides you with lots of training and completing it is required. Many bases are covered in core induction. Any further topics of interest you would like to receive additional training for can be accessed through shine account at any time.

Cons

The training can be overwhelming, especially when it is a requirement for it to be completed in full with little to no time to complete it in the working day. You are expected to hit the ground running once completing the core induction. you will be given an induction and many additional bits of training alongside but it is hard to retain all the information on training, learn new systems while simultaneously learning the children's names and class routines as well as other essential and non essential inner running's .
