Pros

Good work life balance .less travel but a lot depends upon client requirements . provides dencent health coverage , 401k etc. there is ample opportunity to shine thriugh if you want and ready to walk the extra mile.IT consulting business focuses on specfic functional areas and has got good domain knowledge . It consulting leverages upon huge offshore presence providing cost effective solution to the clients . Mature work processes. There is good opportunity to demonstrate your technical skill sets though various client engagements although it takes a lot of effort at the associates level to get released from the current projects and get staffed to the new one.

Cons

stagnation. less diversity .lack of constructive feedback. After copuple of years at the technical side if somebiody wants to move up the ladder through management, its very though . Really let of SAP and other IT implementation work rather than strategic or operations consulting for the clients . Senior leadership comes up with many initiatives but does not focus much on the implementation aspect . feedback system is broken . Unless you make sure that the feedbacks are properly received by the required people they will be lost in the system. Less diversity within the It consulting side of the business.

Pros

Pretty flexible. It's cool if you get on a project with a good client, because honestly you will become like a low-class employee at that company who they all dont care about and expect you not to be around very long so if you can deal with that then you can try and have a good time with them.

Cons

Honestly can't believe the audacity and entitlement of the middle management at this place. For example, last year everybody got about 3% merit raises (not at all keeping up with inflation but still something). This year, they were working with the same pool of funds to work with for raises, but made a "business decision" to consolidate the raises to only management. The rest of us got nothing. And the TOLD us they kept everything for themselves. And in addition to that, they twisted the knife by COMPLAINING to the whole department on a department call that their bonuses weren't enough. Just tone-deaf and careless mostly.
