      Top talent demands top remuneration

      Pros

      Generally speaking, most people I worked with were chill and friendly (Not in a "we are family here" way). I never had trouble finding people that I could get along with well.

      Cons

      There used to be a solid work life balance at the company but lately (ever since Covid) there has been a trend of the top management demanding more every year with the same amount of resources. Sure, there probably was some buffer to begin with but now it has been exhausted and in some roles you are being squeezed progressively every year.

      Safe job with low upside

      The company seems to not fire people, and the culture is good. You also get to travel a lot and enjoy fun team events

      Cons

      Bad product market fit, behind all competitors. High churn rate for existing customers with no plan to fix it

      Great People and Powerful Product

      Pros

      I wouldn't stay at a company for multiple years if the people and culture were awful. ESET truly cares about its employees, and my experience with my colleagues has been positive and impactful. I appreciate that senior-level employees have an open-door policy, which helps foster transparency. I've also been able to make an impact and grow my career while at ESET.

      Cons

      To be completely honest, sometimes the relationship between sales and marketing can be difficult to navigate. However, it has improved tremendously with new leadership coming in managing expectations of sales, and providing a clear mission.

      Noble mission and a sense of making a difference; Competitive salary and office accommodation; If you can find the right people, there is a lot to learn from decades of industry experience.

      Cons

      Upper management communication is lacking, no decision transparency; Important topics are sometimes addressed with the most basic AI-generated action plans, lol; Delegation and managerial decisions are prone to be rolled back at the first sight of trouble; Internal culture is, at times, hostile. Typical office intrigue is surprisingly common if you ask around long enough.
