Toxic Work Environment

Pros

Free unhealthy can drinks, and the occasional free pizza

Cons

Working at D3 has been an eye-opening experience, albeit not in a positive way. The prevalence of gaslighting is deeply concerning. Employees often find themselves second-guessing their perceptions and sanity due to manipulative tactics employed by management. It's a toxic cycle that erodes trust and confidence in the workplace. The reliance on outdated technology hampers efficiency and productivity. The lack of investment in modern systems impedes progress and leaves employees frustrated. The inability to adapt to current technological trends puts D3 at a significant disadvantage in today's fast-paced business environment. Micromanagement is another pervasive issue. Employees are continuously monitored and criticized for minor tasks, stifling creativity and autonomy. This undermines trust and professional growth, creating a stressful atmosphere. The lack of diversity is palpable and concerning. The workplace is predominantly homogenous, limiting varied perspectives and inclusive collaboration. The management approach is chaotic and inconsistent. Direction and decision-making are unclear, leading to confusion and frustration among employees. A more structured and transparent approach is essential for a healthier and more productive workplace at D3. Lastly, the persistent demand for overtime exacerbates work-life balance concerns. Employees are consistently stretched beyond regular working hours, impacting overall well-being and job satisfaction. This is caused by the fact that they have no vetting of code submitted by programmers, while only hiring cheap junior developers.

Worst Company Ever

Pros

There are many FIVE-STAR reviews here, but it is easy to see that they are fake from the review style, which is also in line with the consistent self-boasting of the company's technical executives.

Cons

1. There is no effective communication between departments and between supervisors and subordinates. If you are a developer or QA and willing to join D3, PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Many requirements are temporary and verbal and will not appear in the official development documents. 2. During a recent voting event among some cybersecurity companies, senior management sent several internal messages to all employees emphasizing as the D3's employees, WE MUST VOTE FOR D3. However, I have ethical concerns about this matter. 3. The QA team faces significant challenges due to lacking fundamental product and technical training, leading to a high turnover rate. Within the past two years, seven employees left, resulting in a turnover rate that exceeds 100%. 4. It is surprising that a cyber security company claiming to be a unicorn does not utilize Selenium or any CI/CD-related testing methods in their daily testing practices, nor have they implemented a secure baseline in their development process.

Pros

There is so much chaos that you can get a very important role right from day 1. Great way to vault forward your sales career. Go from an SDR to selling to the Fortune 500 instantly.

Cons

Management is ego-driven and ADD. Nobody knows anything about their own industry. The technical team doesn't communicate with the sales/marketing team whatsoever, nor do they have any ability at all to relate to customers. The product is completely repurposed from its originally intended design. The management team has a reputation for screwing over long term employees, withholding commissions, taking away late stage deals on a whim, reneging on promotions. There is no HR department. Multiple people have sued ownership for wrongful dismissal. There is no structure. The only rules are "whatever ownership feels like that day". Ownership will never really delegate any power or responsibility. Its a testament to the margins in tech that this company is still in business.
