      *Longer hours than 9 to 5 but actually when your having this much fun at work, you don't mind putting in the extra time.

      Great Folks but Shaky Leadership

      + Highly talented engineers + Light hearted and great environment + Engineering are focussed on success and frequently go beyond the call of regular duty

      Cons

      - Idle banter wastes a lot of time - Leadership is shaky and keep making destabilizing decisions - Employees are more worried about future of company and themselves rather than focussing on work

      Thank you for your review. I'm sorry that your experience of our leadership has been less than what you would expect. I use the words "our leadership" specifically with the belief that as a current employee you share with us accountability for how our company is led. I hope that you will accept responsibility for elevating our leadership together and remain available to talk with you at any time about how we might do this. I believe firmly that we're in this together and will realize outcomes we seek as a team.

      Not for Everyone, but Amazing for the Right Ones

      Pros

      Customer focused! Great products, incredible customer names, visionary roadmap, some of the brightest people you will ever work with, an attitude of continuous improvement and raising the bar, and focused execution. Strong leadership across all groups that have the maturity of larger companies, but the nimbleness of a small company. Leaders drive focused execution with accountability, but respect. it is all about winning the customer, making them successful, and growing Apigee. If you enjoy being part of something bigger than yourself by working hard and contributing 100%. while growing individually and being stretched, Apigee is an amazing place.

      Cons

      Not many. Take the time in spite of the fast pace to celebrate the smaller achievements along the way.

      Not Bad, Not Good.

      At the time when I was in the employment with Apigee, I saw a major technical, headcount and management shift, ups and down. The colleagues were awesome. Work culture was good. - TGIF, - kind of flat structure. - Employee friendly policies. - Few projects were not revenue generating, and less work. Sometimes, people used to just enjoy life and waste time without goal.

      Cons

      - Difference in pays. There was no benchmarking. Few people with half the experience were paid double the salary compared to double experienced folks - Engineering team at India saw confused leadership, less hikes, plans without goals. - Some bigshots were just engaged in big talks. - Bad experience for patent application. Just to submit for patent application, leadership spent 1 year. The complete submission process was driven by me. - Once an employee quits organisation, the company does not bother about checking the status of the patent application. Being the inventor of the patent, I was curious about the status, but company's patent process handling person gave, none of you business now and do not try contacting us in future, kind of reply.

      Amazing people, amazing product, dirth of real leadership...

      Fast-paced, game changing solution for customers, incredible thought leadership

      Cons

      Lack of motivational leadership and a collaborative approach, many egos may hold the company back. Apigee has an amazing opportunity to hold on to its execution-focused mission statement but lack of valuation of great people will lead to attrition and loss of positive culture.

      Good product, good customer base, very smart thought leadership

      Cons

      High turnover with what appears to be of no concern from management (arrogance). Sales leadership attitude- if you don't like it, get out! Territories are not clearly defined within each region- new reps beware, you may be told you have a region however, other reps have already cherry picked accounts within that region and you get the remainder..

      Since this was written almost a year ago I'm proud to report that I think we've grown to "Great Product, very smart people - tons of positive change. Thought leadership is a key differentiator in the market. Apigee gets API's and knows how to bring businesses along. Thanks for your review. I hope that 2015 brought you great happiness and success

      A nice enough place to work at, Sales and Presales became very cookie cutter / formulaic

      Pros

      Start up, small, agile. Innovative technologies (in some places) and decent work environment. Nice and clever people to work with.

      Cons

      Very political for such a small place. Also change in sales approach to very formulaic and process driven. Sales pretty cut-throat and bad leadership culture. Relentlessly fast paced - no time to take a breather when having a successful moment. There was always something that could have been done better or in addition.

I agree that this is something we need to continue to work on. I hope that over time you'll sense that we are getting better at this. As a current employee, I also hope that you will be an agent of change - help us get there. If you allow yourself to de-prioritize the belief that the culture is political and just go for something you think is important, because you can, perhaps you'll find that meritorious ideas carry more weight than the people offering them?       - A very fast changing and sometimes uncertain environment due to IPOs and acquisition made hurt term job security
