ADTRAN reviews about "people"

Tough industry conditions causing headcount reduction.

Adtran had a record setting run of profitability of 20+ years. However, management has not made the best choices in recent years but things seem to be looking up again. That said, Adtran's mission places them in markets that could be subject to intense international competition and price pressure from foreign governments. No one will grow your career at Adtran. You will have to do that yourself.

While ADTRAN is clearly a leader in PON and Fiber, it is struggling to adapt to other technology growth areas (especially in the areas of software, cloud and SaaS). Too much wasted IP and loss of critical employee skills over the last couple of years.

Mid-Management needs to do better with supporting their teams. Provide guidance to their staff. Delegate out work, be more accessible.

Competition from Amazon and others
