Te Tūranga – About the role
At Foodstuffs, we’re looking for a DevOps Engineer , you'll play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of our cloud platforms and infrastructure. Working within our Digital Operations team, you'll design, build, and support modern DevOps capabilities across cloud environments, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automation.
You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and security teams to deliver scalable, cloud-native solutions, drive DevSecOps best practices, and continuously improve our platforms and operational excellence in an Agile environment.
What you’ll do
Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using modern DevSecOps practices to create scalable, secure and resilient platforms.
Develop, optimise and support CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable deployments and quickly resolving issues that impact delivery.
Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency and system reliability while reducing manual effort.
Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform incidents, working collaboratively across engineering teams to restore services and prevent repeat occurrences.
Contribute to the development of DevSecOps standards, operational documentation and best practices while sharing knowledge and mentoring teammates.
Help ensure our business-critical platforms remain secure, resilient and available 24x7, supporting the technology that keeps our stores, distribution centres and digital services running every day.
Participate in a rotating on-call roster to support critical business systems .

He kōrero mōu - About you
3+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash/Python).
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerised applications.
Proven experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, or Open Telemetry.
Knowledge of Git version control and Agile delivery practices.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working in Agile teams.
