This role

Kickstart your sales career: $80k base, $128,000 OTE, 140%+ achievable.

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative, you’ll be working with our NZ sales team and will be instrumental in shaping the growth of qualified leads and sales opportunities, directly contributing to our BHAG of revolutionising workforce management at Employment Hero.

This role must be based in New Zealand.

Your key focus areas will be:

• Generating new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls, emails, and lead follow-ups.
• Achieving and exceeding sales targets, contributing to the company’s continued growth.
• Identifying and qualifying key decision-makers within prospects, setting the foundation for future sales.
• Collaborating with Account Executives to ensure smooth handover of high-potential leads for further development and closure.

This will include:

• Source new sales opportunities through lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails
• Understand customer needs and requirements through discovery calls
• Route promising opportunities to the appropriate Account Executives for further development and closure
• Dive into account research, identifying key decision-makers and sparking their interest
• Maintain and grow your prospect database within your assigned segment
• Collaborate on performing engaging online demos to prospects as needed

Who you are

To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring:

• 1+ years of proven high volume outbound sales experience (B2B)
• Experience with tools like Sales LinkedIn Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo and Outreach
• Track record of over-achieving on targets
• Strong phone presence and demonstrated resilience to be on the phone all day
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
