    Pros

    - Genuine caring colleagues (right from CEO down), especially evident during COVID - Great culture of team work - Growing fast, it's exciting with lots changing - Best office technology I've ever worked with - Ownership culture - people just get on with it - Flexibility to work as you choose - Fair pay and share bonus scheme, plus loads of employee discounts (I got 30% off a TV!, 50% off insurance) - Comfortable office environment (and support for working from home)

    Pros

    - fantastic open, friendly and laidback culture - feel good company with so many positive vibes all over the place, lots of incredible people spreading uplifting energy - working with some of the most talented and intelligent, hard working people in the industry - in house coffee barista, very generous friday socials (lots of food and drinks) - daily gratitude and global wellbeing slack channels ! - open and transparent management team - growing on a global scale - flexible working arrangements - management truly care about people's wellbeing and are very genuine, share their personal lives, very easy to relate to - even the CEO and higher management are very personable - solid company vision and strategy, great mission to help small businesses and make the world a better place - bonus scheme via shares (which are very strong performing) - massive emphasis on the values all the time - customers, empathy, beautiful experiences, etc. - huge focus on equality, diversity, inclusion, those kind of things. - very mature product management and engineering practices. lots of bright minds making things better all the time - great work life balance - opportunity to work in global offices- uk, nz, aus, canada, south africa, us etc - market leader and everyone knows the brand and says great things about it.

    Cons

    not really a con, but it's a big and complex organisation that's pretty fast paced. Lots of information and communication to process all the time since it's a global company that's in a growth phase. It can be quite overwhelming the amount of comms there is, and how many business areas and product teams there are, especially as it's constantly growing. So it requires you to be comfortable with constant change and fast paced work.

    Pros

    Great management. My area really cares about their people. Product is a team sport so they encourage you to be a team player. If you are used to working in silo, then this is not for you. 100% encourages work life balance Great perks!

    Cons

    Too many priorities happening at once, hard to figure out what to work on first and which has more value. Too many OKRs this financial year. Does feel like engineers come first, product people second. Career opportunities not clear for product owners. Currently no "level" e.g. Senior, Intermediate. You can only become a Product Manager if someone leaves in your department.

    Great work life balance, caring team, no overtime, clear company strategy and exciting projects and grow prospects

    Cons

    The company sometimes doesn’t practice what it preaches. Leadership often speaks of a culture where it’s ok to fail, but never admits to any failures themselves

    I worked at Xero full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Culture is their biggest strength. They put people first! Most importantly, everyone in the management believes in their values. I have never ever seen any other company that lives and breathes the values as Xero does. People are really driven and motivated. Since they use the latest tech, it’s easy to stay motivated

    Cons

    Some areas the product vision can be improved... but this is a team thing not a company wide problem

    Pros

    Great culture, smart people, great flexibility to work remotely. Company really cares about people and wellbeing.

    Cons

    Some legacy code, however great opportunity to improve it too. Some times too many things happening at the same time, so a little bit harder to prioritise things.
