I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at meQuilibrium in Jul 2024
Interview
Recruiter, 2 person interview then moved me to the presentation "final round". First of all- the presentation interview was supposed to be 1 hr yet they scheduled it for 45 mins- I made it work and explained that I thought it would be 1 hr.. at the time no one said anything. I did the presentation which I worked really hard on- there was no upper management at the panel interview which I thought was strange and it was only UX designers. Seemed like they were only concerned with how you work with UX and side with them. This is NOT the only job of a PRODUCT Manager. I thought that was really weird, all of their questions came off as inexperienced and like they were only hiring a yes man for themselves. They said they would contact me and be in touch and had even emailed me after the interview to say great interview. However, I never heard anything. After 2 weeks I reached out and got ghosted.
This is extremely unprofessional and rude behavior. Part of me expected it to be honest because I read other reviews while being in the process with them. The product itself has a lot of potential so I wanted to be open minded. However, this is what they are like. I feel like they just used me for DEI like interviewing racial people or something.

Question 1
How do you work with UX?
What is your favorite new thing in technology?
How would you resolve issues with UX and Engineering?
Had an interview with HR, which was rather unprofessional. Then another with the hiring manager. I was 1 of only 3 selected to next round. The final interview consisted of presenting a Tableau project to the team based off company scrubbed data. After working on the dashboard and subsequent PowerPoint for hours over the weekend I presented to the team. I was notified afterward via email that they realized that they needed more than a Tableau analyst and more of a data analyst. And that was that. Assigning unpaid projects is one thing. To make me go through the entire inflated process just to drop the position entirely is an utter disrespect of my time. Furthermore I have an MBA in Data Analysis, so I was great potential fit regardless. Company seems disorganized and disrespectful based off my experience. Which is a shame because I was really intrigued and impressed by the work the company is doing.

Interview
Very confusing process. I applied & got an email stating they would not be interviewing me. Two days later one that said they would and to schedule an appointment. I emailed for clarification and got no response. I finally just made an appointment and had a lovely conversation with a hiring manager. She said they were interested and make an appointment for me for the next steps. I prepared for this interview only to have it canceled at the literal last minute (as in, I was waiting to be let into the zoom room). They had taken the position off the website. I got an email from the hiring manager saying they had filled the position but I could still talk to the person I was meant to interview with about a different position. It took a few emails to learn this was basically just about being a contract position writer. I said I'd be interested in talking about that and was looking for full time work in addition. Multiple emails were never responded to. This ended up wasting a great deal of my time.
