      Legal Assistant Interview

      15 Feb 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Netflix (London, England) in Jan 2025

      Interview

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience interviewing for a legal position at Netflix. After an nterview, where I was told I would hear back by a specific date, I was completely ghosted by the company. The interview process itself seemed promising.I felt I had built a good rapport with the interviewers. They emphasized Netflix's culture of candid feedback, which made their subsequent silence all the more jarring. When the promised decision date came and went with no word, I followed up politely via email. My message was met with deafening silence. Days turned into weeks with absolutely no response or acknowledgement. This lack of basic professional courtesy is shocking for a company of Netflix's size and reputation. Ghosting candidates after interview shows a blatant disregard for people's time and effort. It also contradicts Netflix's purported values of transparency and honest communication. While I understand not every candidate can be hired, providing closure through a simple rejection email takes minimal effort. Instead, Netflix left me in limbo, wondering what happened and unable to gain any constructive feedback to improve for future opportunities. This experience has significantly soured my view of Netflix as an employer. A company that treats candidates so dismissively likely does not treat its employees much better. I would caution other job seekers to be wary of investing time in Netflix's recruiting process, as you may find yourself similarly ghosted with no explanation

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Netflix in Nov 2014

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter within a week. The conversation went pretty well except for the tone of the recruiter. She seemed to really not enjoying being on the phone with me. I made it through to the next round and had a telephone interview with the person who I would report to. She called me approximately 10 minutes late and then let me know that she only had 20 mins to talk because she had a meeting. The overall tone of the interview was rushed. I could tell from the minute that we were on the phone that this was not going to be a good interview. I swear I could hear a ticking bomb in the background that just wanted to go off. After we chatted, she said that she had not talked to the recruiter but would discuss with her.
