Excellon Software Project Manager interview questions

I was approached through a contact. Instead of focusing on what I bring as a product manager the hiring manager sat down with me to ask all past employers with timelines, my titles with them, and what I delivered. I do not understand why it was necessary while clearly being irrelevant. The recruiter insisted on filling in a written form asking details one would provide only at the time of joining a company. I did not feel valued for the skills and experience I bring for sure.
