Interview
The process was extremely unprofessional. While the team is looking for a diamond in the ruff, they are disrespectful of people's time that is being asked for the interview. Interviewers were late and unprepared. I was shocked at the lack of respect and humility for owning upfront their unpreparedness and lateness, they ignored it and asked for additional time for more interviews to recover from their own mistakes. There was a clear lack of communication internally on what is expected of internal employees during the interview process.
The line of questioning was very odd, didn't look into the professional background and dig deep into use cases and examples - yet provided feedback as though they did.
Very strange. Any company that says they are looking for a unicorn immediately shows signs of a toxic culture, not to mention coupled with the interview experience in general. A unicorn wouldn't put up with that behavior offer or not.

Question 1
Discuss the biggest deals and challenges within the sales cycle that you overcame. Style of selling, typical sales questions. What book I was currently reading, what I do outside of work, etc.
Very long and extensive. Maybe even a little too much. I did appreciate that the founders wanted to connect with every potential hire beforehand though. There were multiple phases, meeting with the recruiter, the hiring manager, then sitting down with my potential peers, then with members of other teams, members of the sales team, leadership and then one of the founders.

Interview
For everything this company holds itself out to be & the values it claims are central to its mission, my experience with the recruiter here was the furthest thing from that. Not only were they ten minutes late to the interview, it was blatantly apparent they hadn’t so much as glanced at my resume or LinkedIn beforehand. In addition, the tone throughout the entire call could best be described as aloof or condescending, it was embarrassing and uncomfortable. To be honest I’ve never been so disgusted with an interview process before. I have a demanding job, your recruiters reached out to me asking to interview, the least you could do is be on time and attempt to feign some minor level of interest in the conversation. In addition, sending an automated rejection in response to personalized follow up that would have required typing one simple sentence - that’s just lazy, poor form and speaks volumes.. Don’t waste your time here folks.
