I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (Alkmaar)
Interview
1. Recruiter call, the recruiter for the CSO organization is based in Russia. 30 min call: why looking for a new job, why Autodesk and explaining the hiring process.
2. Call with the hiring manager, 30 to 45 min call with the Manager CS. The manager at that time was based in the UK. Simple questions as well, mainly talking about the experience in customer success, workflows and software that I used before. Prep with some questions to ask back to have a full understanding of the organization and position.
3. Feedback from the recruiter. If things go well you will receive a case study which you have to present back in a panel interview.
4. Case study: the case study itself is about a customer situation. Think about questions around: how will you involve other stakeholders from c-level, how to influence adoption, how to collaborate with intern account team etc.
You will be asked to present your findings, please note this will not be a roleplay.
5. Panel interview: presentation day! In my case pre-COVID, we still had a office in the Netherlands, so I was asked to present onside. During these days you will be asked to do it remote. The panel was formed by the CS hiring manager, a Sr. CSM and a Account Exe. You will have 30 min to present and then expect another 45 min for Q&A.
6. If all goes well, you will be hired. In my case I received an offer the same day.
Sentiment: not a difficult or hard proces. The most important thing is that you can show and share your experience. But please note: the whole process from applying to the job to finally the panel interview can take a while.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
How will you work together with the Account Executive?
First interview with the HR and then with the Hiring Manager. Great experience for both of them with no tricky questions but a real conversation to assess the interest in the role and the company
Overall process consists of 3 rounds in total. All the rounds were virtual
1. Screening with recruiter
2. Competency based interview with regional head
3. Presentation on a case study with 3 more interviewers
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Autodesk in Apr 2024
Interview
Stage 1 was meeting the recruiter - went well
Stage 2 was meeting the hiring manager - went well
Stage 3 was a panel interview with a case study, where I was supposed to hold a ~30 min presentation. I prepared very well, and 2 days before my actual presentation, they decided to send me a different case study. Despite this, I managed to complete it and present it. Unfortunately, I got rejected. I disagreed with the feedback I received from my presentation. I didn't either have a background i customer success and I suspect they chose someone with a better experience.
