Pros

runZero has a phenomenal benefits package, including really good terms on equity.

Cons

Every day it becomes more clear that Chris is way out of his league as CEO. He would likely continue to be a decent mid-level product marketer...but that skillset (big surprise) has not translated to being even close to competent at leading a business. How the board has let this continue is mind-boggling. HD is a bit better as he's quite clearly a technical genius, but along with Chris, he's out of his league in helping to run a business. The over-bloated exec team, in general, is the least inspiring I've ever encountered. How do you rally a team around a vision when you don't have one?

Pros

- Best team members I've had the privilege to work with across all departments: Sales, Marketing, People, Ops, Accounting, etc. - Amazing product with impactful feature releases - Customers are raving fans of the product - Engineering team & support teams are unmatched

Cons

- Feedback is encouraged, yet there would be retaliation once you provide it - Management doesn't value IC time, as they constantly reschedule 1:1s or cut them short - Sales & Revenue leadership were always changing how pipeline was reported, so the forecasts were rarely accurate - Inbound leads were severely unbalanced - Most sales reps were not achieving quota, and those that were depended heavily on inbound leads - Company grew very fast and carved out different teams, territories and responsibilities too early, then had to do a round of layoffs in April 2023 - Multiple people spoke out against a couple leaders and were told to manage up and work on yourself instead of addressing the complaints - There used to be a very open-door policy, but eventually, upper management became siloed away from IC team members where it became clear they valued positivity over honesty - Management would sometimes place blame on other teams or certain team members, usually when those individuals weren't present to defend themselves

the confidence of mediocre men

Pros

Good benefits. Healthcare is $0 out of pocket. The trip they sent Marketing & Sales on to Puerto Rico before laying off a third of the company was great.

Cons

Read other recent reviews - it's all true. The emperor's new clothes is really the best analogy for working here. Everyone is too scared to tell leadership that they are absolutely clueless. After laying off over a third of the company, hiring a CMO and a CRO was supposed to save everyone. Well, the new CRO is already gone... But we're still switching to another CRM because *that's* why revenue is plummeting. Everyone is doing 4 jobs and there are zero pay adjustments for it. I'm sure Chris and HD will make a decent chunk of change once they put their egos aside long enough to abandon ship and sell to the highest bidder, but they absolutely do not have their employees' best interests in mind.
