Pros

Some projects in Engineering are interesting and you could learn a lot Benefits package is very competitive

Cons

Culture in engineering has taken a dive over the past 2 years Used to be somewhere which championed ownership and quality engineering, has morphed into a place where no one has any motivation to work Action is not taken against blatant slacking/lying/not turning up to work, hugely frustrating to those engineers who care/used to care about the projects The above has caused attrition of engineers with larger tenures as the struggle to make any positive change is blocked in every way possible until people quit to conserve their sanity

We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback on your experience in Engineering in our Belfast office. It is disheartening to hear that your experience in recent years has not lived up to the expectations that you have, and to the standards that iManage upholds as well. It seems that your sentiment on employee motivation is an isolated issue, and we are actively taking steps to determine any root causes and how we can better support these teams so that this type of culture does not permeate and affect others in the way that you described. You are absolutely right, the culture at iManage is everyone's responsibility and bringing this to our attention is part of that. While PeopleOps works to remedy this issue, we also encourage you to talk to your manager and/or your functional leader about what you are noticing so that the Belfast engineering teams can continue to improve, culturally and technically. Thank you again for your honest feedback and if you are still experiencing the same struggles aforementioned, please do not hesitate to contact PeopleOps for further support and guidance.

Outdated company culture

Pros

Flexible work environment They certainly *try* to engage employees

Cons

Antiquated company culture (employee awards in 2023 with 1,000 employees?) Very few women in leadership and I wouldn’t exactly say the current women leaders are effective or well liked; no women of color in senior leadership Very little input from employees on whether engagement attempts are worthwhile They still operate the clique culture they had when they were a small business but they scaled quickly with remote employees who feel disconnected from the larger culture (eg the CEO will make inside jokes about things that happened 10 years ago in all-hands meetings) Average benefits, no 401K match, no real benefits outside the bare minimum

While we appreciate your response, it's hard to hear the negative views expressed towards a company culture that we work hard to uphold at iManage. Some aspects of our culture that we are most proud of include: A flexible work environment and policy that gives our employees the space and time they need to find success at work, while not sacrificing personal and family time. Showing appreciation and gratitude to our employees that have gone above and beyond what is expected of them during our annual Employee Awards Ceremony. Diversity, equity, and inclusion being purposeful initiatives for the company, always striving to increase diversity at all levels while continuing to live our core values. From a benefits perspective, we do offer a 401k match for US employees, extremely competitive health insurance packages, along with robust vision, dental and life insurance packages. If you are having difficulty navigating our benefits offerings, we'd encourage you to reach out to our People Ops Benefits Specialist for more guidance.

Good but mediocre benefits and terrible vacation policy

Pros

Nice coworkers and most managers are very supportive and willing to help. The new office is very nice. The pay seems to be market. Though it remains to be seen how they will handle raises with 7.5 percent inflation. Anything less than that 7.5 percent will be a pay cut in real terms. Some firms are doing “Covid raises” to get in front of this.

Cons

The benefits are average, and the vacation policy is well below what peers are offering. 15 days vacation for the first 5 years, with no rollovers, so you can forget about saving up days for 1.5 years for a longer break.

Thank you for taking time to provide your feedback. As an employee-first company, providing a comprehensive benefits package to support our employee’s well-being is a top priority. We provide unlimited sick leave, have recently increased our paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers, and provided 3 extra days off for employees to use as Personal days. The PeopleOps team conducts a comprehensive review of our benefits package each year. Our managers and leaders take a lot of pride in providing a very flexible, supportive work environment. At our North America Q&A session recently, our CEO Neil once again encouraged everyone to use their vacation time and spend time away from work. We recently completed our Employee Engagement Survey to better understand our employee’s experiences. Our people are what make iManage great, and we want you to be proud of all aspects of iManage. Thank you again and please reach out to the PeopleOps team to discuss further.
