Pros

- Great engineering team (not sure how long they'll stay) - Lunch - Health insurance - Pension

Cons

- Not flexible working hours anymore - Not hybrid working anymore. - No parking for levels under S2 - A big change of culture over the last year. The company managed to launch a HRIS system in very short time. Many engineers have worked overtime for this product which had strict deadlines, but the company didn't have an actual plan on how to sell it. After the launch of the product, although all the goals have been met by the engineering team the CEO decided that the goals had not been met by the company (although whatever was asked was delivered) and decided to blame remote working for that. They decided to bring all the employees back to the office in a short notice of 1 month. They also decided to not give parking spaces to people that previously had. They created strict rules for remote working and even if people are feeling a bit sick instead of working from home they should ask for a sick leave. Many employees had organized theirs as well as their families and partners lives based on these benefits and the working flexibility, which was until now agreed and in effect. Thus, the majority of the company's stuff should significant and immediate change not only their daily routine, but also manage more efficiently their monthly budget to cover their obligations and expenses (parking, nanny, etc).

Once Great Company, Has Fallen Apart

Pros

-There are a lot of great people in entry level and middle management, although they have laid off/reshuffled management a lot lately.

Cons

-I've worked here for close to 5 years and have seen a complete shift over the last 8-12 months. Half of the leadership has been shown the door and the culture has fallen off a cliff. - The company went all in on an HRIS but had no plan on how to roll it out. They are still scrambling after over a year since the roll out. The adoption rate continues to be very low as they had no target strategy for this. - They have taken away much of the freedoms that allowed their employees to thrive. Everything comes straight from the CEO who rules the company with an iron fist. Nothing about the company is collaborative anymore, its his way or the highway. - I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking to sell the company soon as they are laying off people and cutting programs left and right. -Comp Plans are very much under market.

Pros

Free breakfasts, lunches and snacks, nice office

Cons

If you’re a young, 20-something with no responsibilities, nothing to lose and a lifestyle that can accommodate being fired overnight—if someone somewhere in the company decides that’s what they want to—then a job (not a career) at Workable could be for you for a year or so. But if you're looking for a career with a transparent, open and honest company you can trust and where everyone is treated fairly and equally then look elsewhere.
