Pros

Good product focused on Open Source Mostly smart people (IQ only) Well funded Pay and benefits are decent (not amazing)

Cons

Entire business is run on Slack No commitment to core values Make no mistake - they couldn't care less about your mental health as an employee! One person had multiple deaths in their family and got fired w/in months!!! Inexperienced, incompetent middle managers who think intimidation and shaming are acceptable practices. Encourages a culture of back stabbing and tattling

Hello, thanks for your feedback. We are so sorry to see this as your experience of Snyk. We feel so strongly otherwise, that we bend over backwards to be a caring company, and that is typically the feedback we are receiving from all our employees. So this comment of course has us concerned. Please do feel free to provide more specific feedback internally so that we can address it and try and improve. Please do reach out to the People team, others in your management hierarchy, or submit feedback anonymously through our engagement surveys. Either way, we just want to have the opportunity to understand more and improve.

Pros

Good product focus on SCA and open source. Well funded. No ramping for the sales team, making them work harder

Cons

They will do all the nice thing to hire you, amazing people team. Once you join, the commitment to the employee is minimal. Multiple colleagues got mistreated and fired in months. Only thing management cares about is valuation, not the IC's workload or their family situation (especially under COVID ) An entire company run on Slack, it getting disorganise more each day. Asking employee making unreal reviews on multiple platforms to cover the bad rating. , not at all what they claim

Pros

Actual team members are great - there are a handful of very influential and positive leaders within the sales org. Easy to build lasting relationships. Quotas are fair and achievable (for the most part).

Cons

Snyk has lost a lot of top talent since the original micro-layoff that took place in July of 2022, and much of that talent has left the company on their own accord due to dismay. There seems to be a growing frustration from employees surrounding transparency from leadership and career growth opportunities (many individuals feel they plateaued during month 5 or so and have no option for lateral movement). There have been constant issues surrounding favoritism and visibility. After a total of 3 rounds of layoffs, management continued to make jokes such as "your slack will still be active on Monday if you do x, otherwise, we're not sure." People feel overworked - work-life balance is not encouraged, and you will face backlash for taking time off. Individuals were praised for staying in the office far beyond typical working hours and working on holidays/weekends, which encouraged others to do the same - easy to wind up with a toxic relationship with work in the environment Snyk creates.
