Pros

There is no pro.

Cons

They are managers with zero guys and will let anyone take the fall to protect their job security. Managers who have been there for a long time are the ones to watch out for as they have not been performing yet manage to keep their jobs. The people are constantly being decimated and made to feel useless. The amount of reporting and micro management that is spread across is the absolute worst I have seen in my 25 years working in the industry. They constantly hire or promote VPs and senior VPs yet have just gotten rid of more field people. I sure hope all these execs know how to sell. If you are in sales and are considering joining them just be aware there is a public stack rank system that ranks you amongst your peers globally on your performance. What a joke I'm glad I left before that was implemented. The CEO is forcing existing Skillsoft employees to write positive reviews on glassdoor. How low can you go? I have heard other crazy things such as a senior vp of sales that say we won't win the bikini competition in selling our stuff... wow such great leadership skills.

It's our time

Pros

Yes it's been a disruptive last 12 months but I feel it's important to add balance to some of these reviews. An incredible amount of work and development is nearly finished on what's going to be a pivotal year for Skillsoft. It truly is our time (again). Work from home for some functions, new roles and development goals, massive marketing and branding engine, and great new products.

Cons

It may be difficult for some to transition out of change and into the new way. That's human nature. And it's been tough

Pros

Having moved into Sales from Customer Success, i thought it important to provide a new review. So much support and resources for building pipeline. Customers love the products. Learners love the products. A great time to be working here.

Cons

None really, lots to learn as you’d expect when you change careers
