Pros

You get a paycheck every two weeks...

Cons

Pretty much everything else... I frankly cannot begin to comprehend how these people are still in business after all the lawsuits they keep throwing money at. If certain agencies really knew what goes on "behind closed doors" this place would be shut down for good the next day. Management is a tremendous joke, they are extremely unprofessional and nasty to their employees. I was personally cursed at by the so called "manager" from the bankruptcy department on several occasions. Their policies and procedures are changed constantly to accommodate their unfair demands and sometimes without notice to their employees. There is zero respect for the employee, you are seen as an ant in a colony and when you stand up to them you end up in the chopping block. Good riddance!!!!!!

Pros

Schedule flexibility (except the call center), good PTO allowances, good pay, good bonuses, good friends, good exposure, and good resume experience.

Cons

Everyone is overworked, from SVP down to entry-level employees. The business model is to board more and more and more business, and outsource every possible ancillary task. This is intended to streamline processes and make onshore employees more valuable and knowledgeable by training them to handle the most complex processes. However, this model fails because supervisors and managers don't have time to train and develop onshore AND offshore teams in IN ADDITION to managing a completely unrealistic workload of high-exposure risk mitigation, constant policy changes, and process improvements. Executive management believes their management staff is performing below their pay grades. This is true in some cases due to the complete lack of feedback, communication, and development for their leadership team. In other cases, the competent, dedicated supervisors, managers, and directors are doing most of the work while their incompetent peers are held to no expectations to carry their own weight. Everyone. Is. Burnt. Out. The other reviews are exactly right: the environment is negative and management is moody, executives overreact and cause tidal waves of panic, favoritism is high but loyalty is low, appreciation is absolutely non-existant. Highly-regulated industry makes work challenging, add poor management and is work miserable.

Pros

Free parking and food trucks

Cons

Oh where to start with this one.. Led by some of the finest incompetent people, SPS is nothing but a sweat shop that lets front line do all the work so that management can keep their bonuses. Most people are offended when you go to them with actual work requests, and have MASSIVE egos that you have to appease. VPs act like they are in a sorority, they are always gossiping, are catty towards all and walk around with a chip on their shoulder. No wonder they are unable to hire or retain any good talent, the only ones that remain is because they are used to brown nosing and know they wont last in any other real world job. And although they preach otherwise, they are ruthless predators, ready to foreclose on whatever they can and their assistance programs are a joke. Their culture is even worse- rampant affairs between co-workers, sleazy bosses that are always making inappropriate remarks at women, and women dressed like they're going to the club instead of work. But if you have a voice, and complain to HR, you guessed it, nothing will happen and you will get pushed out instead. Even people that start out motivated and wanting to make a difference will quickly learn that no one wants to change and they are all talk.. pretending like they are the greatest company in Townhall meetings, but a total MESS below the surface. By all means, stay far far far away from this company.
