Pros
-Amazing coworkers, the staff other than the owners are all great people to be around and I never had a complaint about anyone I worked with. -Most customers are also very chill people although some can be a pain
Cons
The biggest issue with the Prohibition which I worked at was the owners (franchisees). My boss didn't even know my name for the longest time which was my first hint at what was to come. The co-owner of the store I worked at was also extremely rude, acted superior and didn't accept any kind of criticism to their harsh tone. It was evident that they both didn't care about their employees, seeing as how they barely came in. One of the owners barely knew any product knowledge at all, and expected us to know every detail about every article in the store. Even with all this product knowledge, as well as being in the company for a while, no raises were ever offered and our work was never recognized. Another interesting note is that the owners didn't trust the employees at all, even going so far as to locking the stock room (which means we couldn't do any replenishment), even though everyone working there was trustworthy and had been working with the company for a while. Despite the fact that we literally could not access the stock room, the co-owner would still tell us we were doing a bad job at replenishing stock. Finally the thing that tipped me over the edge for this particular Prohibition was that one of the owners would make casual racist remarks, which made me very uncomfortable and that's when I decided to leave. Overall, if the franchisees change then maybe the work environment will be better but as it stands I would not recommending working at this Prohibition.
