Pros

They are incredibly adept at brand building, in a market with surprisingly few customer-centric brands (most competitors are proud parasites with no innovation). Though it's too late to profit off the early initial growth spurts, the internal instability means there is ample opportunity for upward mobility if you can play politics. Significant autonomy and a sink or swim environment, which can be a positive based on preference. There are some incredible employees. Zac, the CEO, is brilliantly charismatic and a great storyteller - however mid level management is dysfunctional and that ultimately must fall on his shoulders.

Cons

Numerous rogue senior employees at senior levels who act recklessly and sometimes disrespectfully with no consequence. Like any SaaS, the product is littered with issues, with a decidedly mediocre development team due to acquisitions and quick growth.

Pros

There's a paycheck I guess.

Cons

It's been 6 months since I worked there and I'm still recovering. The Leads will legitimately gaslight and devalue you, making you believe you're a bad worker while they overwork you. They will promise you vacation days or promotions, then rip them away from you and call you "abrasive" or "bold" when you ask for a reason, and that it's "out of their hands." They've removed entire insurance plans to make sure they aren't paying too much of your medical bills, so disabled employees beware. They'll make unreasonable demands and then ask why you're acting out when you point out the flaws of their plans. They will pit you against your coworkers. The female leads climbed up the corporate ladder and closed the feminist door behind them. I've been working in a healthy workplace since then, and I'm still getting comments at my new job that I need to restore confidence in myself, take better care of my mental health, and that I'm better than I think I am, and I again wish I'd never accepted a job offer with OpenGov.

Pros

- You'll meet some of the most kind-hearted, intelligent human beings in the Silicon Valley - The interview process presents you with the best people at the company, and on-boarding includes a volunteer day - Unlimited snacks

Cons

- HR thinks people don't notice that every time 1 bad review is given here, suddenly 3 5-star ones pop up - Turnover is grossly high (even developers run after a few months). Burn and churn - Lack of diversity - I'm a male and still realized how bad it was for women working here - Upper management is open about the fact that they voted for Trump - Perks being cut left and right for "operation slingshot"
