Pros

Work-life balance. I’ve never seen people show up at 10 AM and leave at 3 PM daily.

Cons

Pay is under market rate. They like to compensate with shares over giving you market rate salary. Leadership is extremely confused within Marketing. Erratic decision making by the CMO and the managers who report into him are willing to throw you under the bus to keep him happy. I have never experienced blatant sexism in the workplace. If you’re a man, you’ll be ok here. Highly political environment. They will tell you they want to work together and progress the business, but if you want to make actual change- be careful. There’s no internal process and little interest to establish it. Leaves employees guessing. I’ve never worked at a company that was so siloed in terms of work priorities and communicate. No cross-collaboration and no one cares to make an effort. Biggest advice - stay away. CEO with an identify crisis and his leadership is even more lost.

Pros

— competitive compensation — interesting job in ride-share — defined pathway to grow

Cons

— managers are not always stand for the team and choose what’s best for the product, they instead grow their career and work on their visibility — all the decision making is located in US, they don’t invest into making informed decisions about European locations.

Pros

great culture and work-life balance. everyone works collaboratively

Cons

limited upward mobility. you might get the highest rating on the perf review (top 5%) but still not be granted a promotion because you need to show performance at the next level for more than a year; which is unfair because you might not get opportunities to do "next level" work, it will depend a lot on your manager not on you.

Pros

Lots of really smart people at the company and lots of interesting problems to work on.

Cons

Leadership across the levels was pretty awful. Managers just let BS slide downhill without trying to find ways to remove obstacles. Sales is a tough job and isn't made any easier when the product is glitchy.
