Pros

Work with great hard working people

Cons

Senior leadership clearly doesnt care about feedback or people. The support, org changes (layoffs) with rehires for same/similar positions and lack of competitive pay & merit raises for years is concerning. If you want an Employer who is fine never being first, waiting to see how their competition does stuff and being middle of the road for pay (and doesnt adjust for COLA or state differences in cost of living) this is the place to work.

Pros

Lincoln is flexible with remote work. I live in a key city but my coworkers are spread out over the US, so they recognize that it makes since for some people to be remote. The benefits are pretty good, particularly the 401k, PTO, and the competitive pay. Coworkers are nice and atmosphere is collaborative, at least in my area.

Cons

Reorgs and layoffs occur about every 6 months. We outsourced much of our customer service and claims staff and laid off many people. At we talked about how the service to our customers would be better - it's not.

Good work life balance

Pros

For the most part everything is relaxed here. As long as you get your work done, no one cares about hours you've worked. Month and quarter ends tend to be a bit busier, but relatively speaking its nothing crazy.

Cons

Many reorganizations and occasional layoffs. Not unique to this employer but still can be disruptive.

Pros

The company offers great pay, great benefits and flexibility.

Cons

There is poor leadership, with a lack of directive. There is little to no training. They are quick to layoff and terminate employees.

Going downhill fast

Pros

Flexible work for some employees. The offices are nice and located in a nice area.

Cons

This is not the same company it was 8 years ago. Upper Management changes constantly and people making decisions at the top appear all over the place. As an employee, I do not feel like I can speak up. Not a safe environment. Workload is heavy year round, and managers play favorites. High intensity environment, high stress. Depressed stock price for years. A lot of talk about cutting expense but there’s a lot of extraneous spending if you look closely. Multiple rounds of layoffs over the years make you wonder if you are next. Laughable merit for the last two years. Performance reviews are ridiculous and newer system has peers rating each other and providing feedback, so it becomes a popularity test. The move to “unlimited PTO” to save money but now many don’t use the vacation time they earned. I do not expect to be here in six months.
