People quit bosses not companies.

Pros

They try their best in a lot of ways to be a place of inclusion across all racial bounds. Benefits are solid

Cons

When upper management treats you without any care and dismisses calls for true support, it makes it easy to walk away.

Pros

There are many entry-level positions at Konica Minolta and the company is willing to take a chance on individuals who lack experience. The training was decent and managers are fine with letting you learn at your own pace. Coworkers are more than willing to lend a helping hand and help fellow staff members get up to speed. The work environment is generally comfortable and there is a cafeteria on site. The company also hosts lots of events and activities for staff, especially during the holidays. Their corporate roles are good for entry-level folks looking to gain some exposure to, and experience in the corporate world.

Cons

The biggest con at this company is lack of flexibility and WFH options. During the pandemic everyone worked from home. Then they implemented a hybrid policy that allowed for 2 days WFH. Then they only allowed one day a week as WFH. The 2 days WFH seemed reasonable, and lowering WFH to one day a week seemed unwarranted. They implemented some new stuff to make up for it, but what is the point? Why not just let us WFH at least 2 days a week? Most of the jobs at Ramsey HQ can be done completely remotely to begin with. Seems completely unnecessary. From what I understand, folks in upper management are allowed to work completely remotely. Rules for thee, but not for me. In addition, there is a high degree of micromanaging here. Seems that most managers do not care about quality of work. The only thing that managers seem to care about is if you are sitting at your desk like a good worker bee. Don't be away from your desk too often or 5 minutes late because someone will tattle on you. Also, don't ask for too many days off or your manager might get annoyed. A lot of long-time employees will be rude, disrespectful, and bossy. Some of the disrespect you can experience is truly shocking. But it seems like people just put up with it because KM is the only place they have ever known and they are afraid to leave.

Pros

Most of the people at the compnay are cool and the food at hq is pretty good. Time off is the same across the board but some managers are more lenient than others. It's just ok as far as pros go

Cons

Upper management is completely out of the loop with what is actually happening in the trenches. The admin side of the sales division is a severely understaffed and the staff that do exist don't want to do their jobs. It is a very in-office focused company even though they offer 1 day remote a week. If you are in sales you should expect to handle the entire selling process and all the admin work that comes after as well as helping your current clients with billing issues, product issues etc. but the pay does not match that amount of work.

Pros

- Entirely Remote Work, somewhat flexible on hours - Flexible with various timezones - Fast-paced, broad spectrum of work - Internal peer acknowledgment programs - There are many learning platforms made available to employees to take advantage of. - Corporate's DEI program (at the time) is fantastic and provides regular, relevant webinars for employees.

Cons

- Cross-department communication is non-existent unless you proactively initiate it, EXTREMELY siloed segments - Upper Management often allows customers to create a toxic environment for employees by allowing them to verbally berate them, and ignore the terms of the contract without any consequences that contradict KM's processes and procedures. - Management claims to trust employees to be experienced professionals, but they treat them like fresh-out-of-college graduates with zero experience. - Process changes and tool permissions for your role are constantly changing, usually half-baked, and poorly communicated. - Fairly regular "re-orgs" and RIFs that aren't planned appropriately Initial pay is good; however, merit increases are small and not aligned with the cost of living increases and inflation. Bonuses are non-existent, regardless of the bonus programs created. - There isn't much diversity in management overall, especially with women and POC.

Pros

There is a lot of flexibility for time and everyone in the division is helpful. The job isn't difficult. Direct managers are all really good people. Good job for someone with minimal experience.

Cons

Upper/Senior management are very out of touch with what our job really is and what it takes to be successful. The markets we sell in are totally diluted (some of which is KM's fault). You will be competing against your own machines at a cheaper price by 3rd party re-sellers. High stress times = crazy amounts of micro management. No room for career growth. Service sucks too.

Pros

Company is really good. Sales people are working very hard

Cons

The HR department at Konica Minolta is poorly managed, with the upper management being the biggest bottleneck. They lack the vision and leadership skills needed to drive the organization forward. Decisions are inefficient, and there’s little understanding of how to address employee needs or organizational growth. The entire department needs restructuring, starting with the top-level HR management.
