Pros

Salary on time! I cannot think of any other pro with this company !!

Cons

• Long, grueling hours with no work-life balance. • Toxic work culture dominated by favoritism, especially among Lebanese staff. It feels like a “mafia” environment where only certain people are supported or promoted. • Micromanagement is suffocating—many directors spend more time nitpicking than actually leading. They want to get their job done and show they are working, whereas the team below is the one doing all the work !! Wake up COO! • UAE MD, is completely clueless about his responsibilities and unfit for his role. His poor decision-making and lack of leadership have caused more harm than good. He only cares about operations department (who he cares for and favors the most) Very egoistic and doesn’t care at all for any employee. If he does he must have work from you! • Leadership across the board is inept. Many directors(mostly all) lack the skills to manage teams or execute strategies effectively. - work from home is only applicable to the hr head who no one knows does, what is the job role or contribution as most of the time shes not even in the office !! • Zero appreciation for hard work. Employees are treated like disposable resources rather than valuable contributors. • Rampant disorganization. Departments lack communication, leading to constant chaos and inefficiency. • High turnover rate. Most people leave within a year due to burnout and poor treatment. There is a new fashion of termination every 6 months by the company!

Pros

Supportive environment, recognition for hard work, space to learn and grow professionally, very good exposure to leadership, collaborative teams, good energy across the company, and the chance to navigate a complex business model with exposure to operations and all teams.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with complex projects, which makes work dynamic and engaging. Priorities can shift, so it requires focus, adaptability, and resilience. At the same time, this creates exposure to interesting projects, diverse challenges, and the opportunity to build agility and problem-solving skills that are highly valuable.

1. Positive culture 2. Dynamic work environment with a lot of opportunities to learn new things and grow. 3. Leadership is supportive and gives regard to employees. 4. Kitopi is promoting culture of employee empowerment and problem solving instead of autocratic and old fashioned ways of doing work which is hallmark of Kitopi's culture. 5. Training opportunities for employees. 6. Salary is always on time.

Cons

Work-life balance is sometimes overwhelming but doesn't matters much since culture is really good and leadership is supportive.

Toxic Culture and Unrelenting Chaos

Business outlook

Pros

1. You get to work in an interesting and fast-growing industry with a strong presence across the GCC, offering great exposure to the region. 2. The fast-paced environment ensures you gain a significant amount of experience and learn quickly, though at a considerable cost.

Cons

1. The work environment is incredibly chaotic, with constant internal restructuring and strategy pivots happening on a weekly basis. There are no real SOPs, making it difficult to understand roles and responsibilities even after a long tenure. 2. The culture is extremely toxic and non-collaborative. There is little to no appreciation for good performance, as promotions and rewards are often given based on favoritism or connections rather than merit. Leadership lacks professional experience and fosters an environment where public humiliation is fairly common. 3. Work-life balance is non-existent, despite what is promoted on the company's social media. Employees are expected to meet unreal deadlines, leading to widespread burnout. 4. A significant portion of your time is consumed by a nightmare-ish reporting process, which leaves little to no time for actual productive work. 5. There is absolutely no job security. The constant flux means that nothing is permanent at Kitopi, creating an atmosphere of perpetual instability and anxiety.

Pros

Flexibility is great (not so much anymore) and genuinely the BEST and most hard working people (not talking about management)

Cons

This is the worst place I can think to work at. The leaders are the most heartless people on this planet. Doing Layoffs AGAIN, I've lost count but this may be the 4-5th time in 2 years Knowing the situation in the middle east they have decided to ruin peoples lives even more. They talk about culture but what about your people who you throw out any every minor inconvenience. Why not fire leaders that are on their butts doing nothing There is so much favouritism, no strategy, no empathy, no structure. It's actually suffocating The salaries as is are paid below market standard and now they've also cut 30% of everyones salaries despite doing layoff. If i could give a zero I would

Exciting place to grow, but recent layoffs affected stability

Pros

- Exposure to a fast-paced, innovative environment in the food-tech space. - Opportunity to work on large-scale systems with real customer impact. - Strong engineering culture adopting modern practices. - Talented teams with a collaborative mindset and clear alignment on company goals. - Leadership generally transparent about strategy and open to feedback.

Cons

- Work can be intense, with shifting priorities and ambitious timelines. - 3 layoffs in 18 months have caused instability and impacted morale. While the company is ambitious and fast-growing, the restructuring made teams feel stretched and uncertain about long-term direction. - Balancing technical debt with rapid delivery is still a challenge. - Career progression frameworks are improving but can't rely on them yet

Pros

Kitopi is not your typical 9-5 corporate job. If you're looking for a conventional role, this isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re eager to push yourself to the limit, and work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, Kitopi is a great fit. Here are some benefits: / highly talented colleagues: Kitopi tends to hire highly talented, hard-working overachievers - if you don't like to push yourself, this is not for you / challenging impact and growth focused atmosphere: day to day work is intense and always pushes you to grow and develop skills beyond your comfort zone / little corporate politics and a clear no-jerks-allowed policy: the company maintains a strong no-jerk policy, with minimal corporate politics and a very flat structure allowing everyone to engage directly with leadership, including the CEO. / fun office culture and atmosphere: The office is very lively, informal and fun - lots of us have made some of our best friends here, making it a great place to work

Cons

While the environment is fun there are natural challenges to consider that come with this intensity: / high pressure: the fast-paced nature of the business can lead to significant pressure, which may not be suitable for everyone / work-life Balance: not only the hours put, but the intensity that one has to put to perform means that maintaining a healthy work-life balance can be challenging, particularly given the demands of the job / gender balance in leadership: while there is a clear noticeable open focus on improving the balance between women and men in leadership roles, the demanding nature of the org makes it difficult for many to balance these responsibilities with family life / high salaries: Kitopi is not known for being the highest-paying organization in F&B; most people join and stay long because they want to challenge themselves and are driven to excel, not because of the pay
