Careful! New management cares only about cutting costs

Pros

Wonderful colleagues in both EE locations. There before was good motivation and loyalty, but the new Middle East bosses have ruined this.

Cons

The company was losing money before, so OK, but the new Middle East owners do not keep promises to employees about salary and benefits. Or they will say they will keep them, but then say "We are discussing" and then "Maybe later after we have saved enough money". They tried even to cut our small sports benefit, then had to give it back. They sacked nine colleagues very soon after they got control, with almost no warning. The real bosses sit in Abu Dhabi almost all the time. We do not believe we have future here and many are looking for other jobs. They are stopping almost all projects that are not related to one product. No research any more.

Pros

Great colleges. Interesting work. Some projects are academic level research focused, ideal for learning valuable concepts and theories.

Cons

Teams can be managed a lot better. More resources should be allocated for education.

Pros

Rather good pay and generous sport allowance

Cons

Internal communication cannot get worse, you hear company wise updates & important news by chance or if someone close to management feels like sharing it spontaneously. There are tons of other examples on how handicapped the communication is, but I will simply skip, seems like everyone knows it but no initiative from the management to improve it anyways. They hire people with expectations that they would have contracts in place with clients and with the assumption that those contracts would produce revenues .When this gets delayed or doesn't happen at all, they lay off people. Not as important as the first 2 points but they also promise stock options, but then even their HR doesn't know how it works and who gets it and what's the use of it. If you are unable to grant it in the end, why to promise this as a part of your job and mislead your own employees?
