Where does one start....

Pros

Flexible (very team dependant though), unlimited leave, made some wonderful friends during my time there. Mostly, loyal, hard working people.

Cons

The company speaks often about being "people first" and this could not be further from the truth. Current redundancies have been done in the most appalling way possible without a care for people at all. Hiding behind legal jargon to justify terrible, cold and rude behaviour. Upper management do not care about anyone but protecting each other. Some teams have horrendous meeting schedules (nearly all day in meetings) where it is impossible to be flexible in any meaningful way. Nepotism everywhere you look. Sad, as it was originally great and everyone has completely lost their way.

Sinking ship full of red flags

Pros

It started off as a wonderful place to work but all of the wonderful things have been stripped away through poor choices and support. The learning designers, technologists, graphic designers, and videographers made great courses to have the whole model made laughable by poor culture choices. Work life balance and holiday only works if you push back.

Cons

They hired a team to make their courses great and then fired all of those people in 1, 2, 3, and counting rounds of redundancy. After the first RIF, they made multiple promises that there would be no further rounds. They're trying to kill off any expenses and get to profit using any learners that will invest in these courses. There's no one left to do the work or changes so user feedback won't actually matter. User success used to manage 20 users and give tailored support and now they're expected to do the same for over 100+ learners on a weekly basis. They continued to hire and promote people like Matt Jordan into roles that they were not within their skillset and who never tried to learn how to do the role well. Leadership claimed the benefits for other people's good work but never listened to the red flags when they were raised. These were raised many times over a span of two years, including on calls directly with the co-founders which they then eliminated. People and culture is led by Jenn who is more interested in covering up for poor mistakes rather than fixing them to improve the culture. She avoided emails and messages until they were sent multiple times. It's sad to see what this has become as it didn't start like this and could have been avoided 1-2 years ago had the right people taken action on the red flags raised by the majority of the team manager level and below.

Terrible company to work for!

Pros

Worked with some incredible people.

Cons

The leadership team at this company is completely disconnected and directionless. There's a glaring lack of planning, strategy, and basic common sense. Instead of confronting problems head-on, they choose to employ tactics such as gaslighting, bullying, and blatant nepotism. They beg for feedback, yet struggle to handle any constructive criticism, opting to swiftly bury it beneath fabricated positive reviews. Certain members of the leadership team contribute to an extremely toxic work environment. People who succeed here are yes people who do, achieve little else. I'm so relieved to have parted ways with the company.
