Great team, exciting work, fast-paced

Pros

The company offers a solid benefits and work/life balance, and I genuinely enjoy the team I work with and the projects I’m involved in. While the organization is going through some significant change, it's still an A+ company with a lot of benefits and potential. I’m genuinely excited about the future, especially the upcoming move to our new headquarters this fall.

Cons

As a growth company, the pace at FBIN is very fast and the constant change can be overwhelming for some. If you prefer a more predictable environment, this might not be the best fit.

Pros

My pay was decent because I was hired before we got acquired by Fortune Brands Decent work life balance because I was not under a Fortune Brands manager during my time here

Cons

Antiquated systems Conservative You pay for benefits ($100+ per month) They expect you to join meetings 5 minutes before they start or you are considered "late" "Midwestern values" Extremely culturally insensitive Lack of transparency even in all-hands

Pros

Great products and brand and the customers we sell are awesome.

Cons

Work/Life balance is taxing and FBIN is beginning to outsource departments.

Pros

Before the announcement there was great buy in from stakeholders on projects and work life balance

Cons

Drives importance of company tenure then up and requires a move to IL for all remote workers and regional offices.

Pros

Competitive pay and above average benefits. Discounts on products. Some of the best technical employees I've worked with, amazing engineers doing some awesome work. Work life balance (for now...)

Cons

Complete lack of trust in upper level leadership to make any competent decision. There is no logic or sound reason behind some of the decisions that have been made. It appears some have been made with ZERO understanding of how the brands actually develop successful and profitable products. Forced relocation to Chicago (or be fired) is causing tremendous loss of key knowledge and highly skilled non replaceable talent. There's a clear lack of any actual plan for this transition. Workspaces aren't ready, buildings aren't capable for the actual work the team does, and no one is able to clearly articulate the plan / vision.

Pros

Friendly coworkers, decent work/life balance, lots of extra 3rd party benefits.

Cons

Frequent organizational change. Product management is lackluster. Healthcare plan gets worse and more expensive every year. No company equity or stocks.
