Pros

Generous PTO oh, if you can take it without falling behind. Some hard-working individual contributors just trying to do a good job. A 5% match on your 401k, which only gets distributed at the first of every year. You get to put Raytheon on your resume with an asterisk.

Cons

There are too many to name but let me just leave you with one thing. Cyber security as an industry is growing at an explosive pace. This company just had to lay off a good portion of the workforce. that should tell you everything you need to know about how grossly mismanaged this company is. We had to rebrand three times in the two years I was there. They brought in several external agencies to do most of the work but since the people watching the agencies were incompetent comma the real work fell on employees that had no insight to what was going on 4 months prior. This might be normal for all companies but it's truly astounding how bureaucratic this company is and the level of undermining that I experienced.

Pros

Some nice people and the paychecks don't bounce...yet.

Cons

This place is in existence to make a very few people a lot of money. Any pretense of building culture or interest in employee satisfaction is only because they think that's what they need to do in order to keep the wheels on. - No real product strategy unless you call their lipstick on a pig "human point" nonsense strategy. - No prospect for professional growth - No space for any individual thought. Every all-hands is like a Fascist rally from the 30's, just replace zeigheil with "all in to win" and you've got the essence of the cult.

Pros

5 weeks PTO upfront. A few that I heard of had negotiated good packages. Good people to work with on average, however, most seem to be "B" or "C" players at best. Work/life balance is good if you are on the right team. Good job with marketing and trade shows. Gartner recognition of some products.

Cons

Compensation below market value. No equity. For a tech company benefits are terrible. Very high deductibles for all plans, high monthly cost. It may be better to forego benefits depending on where you live and get your own plan or use a spouses/partner's plan instead. The company was deceptive in the way they described their 401k/IRA plans. You don't see the match until the year-end. For those that leave Dec 31st or prior, you forfeit the entire year of matching. Too much movement in the upper management levels. C level folks still there, which is shocking. Lots of turnover in the lower ranks as well. Had to travel to sales training that started on a Friday, through the weekend, into the next week. Never seen this before. False/empty promises common, search reviews or speak to current or previous employees. False promises regarding money/promotions etc. The hiring of friends instead of qualified talent. Forcepoint is a conglomeration of several different companies, with different cultures, this has caused friction and with the differences of cultures/backgrounds, other issues: "Pockets" of knowledge, not allowing others into some circles, selling products that benefit short term sales rather than selling the right product to build long term relationships. These types of sales teams have to go. Bad decisions regarding product integration, go to market strategy, sales team region/account mapping. I've seen some of the negative reviews disappear. Strange. I would say nearly all of them are accurate. The 5-star reviews are VERY suspect.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We are sorry your experience here was not a positive one. We have been making progress each year in total rewards like compensation and benefits and will continue to make improvements that impact the lives of our employees. We are sorry that you don’t feel that the 401k match is for you, but in many companies the vesting period is 1-5 years, at Forcepoint your match vests as soon as it is deposited into your account, no more than 1 year after it is earned. Please be assured your comments have been forwarded to the management team Please feel free to contact our HR department anytime if you wish to discuss further at feedback@forcepoint.com
