Pros
In the beginning, it would appear the benefits are great. The starting salary is modest. The location is great and the environment appears comfortable to work in. The best thing you can do when picking your schedule is keep your ears open for who not to work for. Keep your mouth closed and stay out of the line of fire with the office politics.
Cons
The overall morale is at an all time low. The company states they are not laying off employess and always hiring, but they do not publish how many terminations/ voluntary seperations they actually have. The company has creatively designed performance standards that would cause termination of employees for poor job performance when in essence the standards were generated to create COMPANY SHRINKAGE in liu of layoffs. In the majority of the FC Site employees are working under stress. Merit programs have all been cut if there was a cost attached, the company continues to raise the cost of benefits, and floor supervisors are using their position to look out for some and railroad others. You'll find a lot of employees who will tell you they'd rather cut the bonus program instead of pushing for unrealistic expectations that create a stressful work environment. FC Reps are becoming more and more scripted. It's no secret T-Mobile has a path you go down when you're being set up for termination. When an employee knows this is happening there is no way for them to collect documentation to prove what's happening and the majority just look for new jobs and eventually quit. I've seen a guy on his 8th year anniversary get a balloon and certificate from the Site Manager on the floor in front of everyone and NOT EVEN ONE hour later he was terminated. Now as a employee if you see this happen to a co-worker how would that make you feel? Actions speak louder than words.... and that told me they don't care. It's also a known fact that the IN CROWD is not a select group of top performers. One bad word from any IN CROWD member and your days are numbered. The average tenure at tmobile among FCR's is 2 years! The folks with tenure are typically in management and even most of them have no job security. I've seen more Coaches and Seniors being terminated than Rep's and I'm sure this is a great help to the payroll budget considering a Coach and a Senior Salary with tenure equals 4 entry level reps. YOU THINK SUE NOKES LEAVING THE COMPANY WAS PURELY PERSONAL? Yeah right! Sue Nokes represented taking care of customers and employees alike..... and that viewpoint left when she did!
