1 The industry in which company is doing businesses is a sunset industry with heavy investments and almost nill returns due to disruption and systematic shifts. 2- Company has a history of selling internal business units either to cover the losses or no ability to chart a long term vision for that 3- The most potential candidate that ia the businesses of e commerce has been sold this time , which actually had the highest potential for growth , opportunities etc 4- Due to all above mentioned scenarios lot of exits, retirements layoff have happened across the organisation. Creating a negative atmosphere.The cost cutting measures are still on . It used to be a very good organisation,with a 100 year old legacy , culture , ethics , updated tech stack . But now lost its sheen and marred by unknown unforseeable unfortunate events 5- You can get silently laidoff , but you will be given severance pay and compensation as per the policy which is a good thing.
