Pros

Working with some of the small businesses we onboard is an absolute delight! You'll gain invaluable insights and exceptional agency experience, making this the perfect opportunity if you're looking to build a lasting career in marketing.

Cons

This role demands resilience and unwavering commitment. Expect to work beyond standard office hours, navigate complex office dynamics, and meet exceptionally high standards. Constructive criticism is often poorly received by leadership, and your voice may feel stifled. It’s concerning that many who have highlighted the toxic environment are often sidelined. While the initial excitement of joining this team is palpable, over time, it can feel reminiscent of high school politics. Additionally, client retention is an ongoing challenge. If you are not prepared to endure these conditions for at least a year to gain the experience, it is advisable to consider other opportunities. This company also lacks diversity.

Pros

Supportive team environment, strong communication across departments, collaborative leadership, and a lot of opportunity to grow professionally within the TikTok Shop/e-commerce space. The work is fast-paced and challenging in a good way, and there is a strong culture of problem solving and innovation. Leadership is very open to ideas and feedback, and the company overall has a very positive and motivated atmosphere.

Cons

Because the company is growing quickly, processes and systems are constantly evolving, which can sometimes create a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities. Like most agency/client-facing roles, there can also be periods of high workload depending on campaign timing and platform demands.

Pros

Joybyte had a very positive shift in leadership when I came in — the reviews here on Glassdoor had me hesitate at first but it's a great sign when you notice that leadership is shifting things based on these pain points and feedback. The work is great, I am learning a lot of new things, and I have felt no issue in keeping my work-life balance steady. The flexibility has been really helpful in that regard, I am grateful to work with leadership that trusts us enough to be adults who get our stuff done.

Cons

Naturally, there are growing pains and kinks to work out as departments grow, improve, and expand. However, leadership is quick to acknowledge these pains to ensure support is there.
