Pros

Most colleagues are well-educated and friendly.

Cons

They give you a small piece of market, and they do not know if it will succeed or fail. If you succeed, they say its the strong brand name, and strong training. If you fail, they say its your fault. They ask me to go into a tunnel that no one else ventured out before, and if I can't find my way out, I somehow become the bad person and convincing me everyday to leave the company. People told me that in Hays, they fire people on a weekly basis. New employees always tell me that they are shocked at how often Hays fires people. Then they tell everyone else "that person is just now cut out for this". Lots of trials and errors in hiring employees and I feel absolutely sorry for people who took a big opportunity cost to move into Hays. Biggest liars in town.

Pros

Great place for new recruiters to gain experience. A lot to learn. Younger crowd, fun teams.

Cons

Competitive, people that weren't succeeding would be put on PIPs and eventually let go. Can be some micro-managing. Not all managers created equal - some great, some not so great.
