I have been working at Hays full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I've been with Hays for 5 years having started as a trainee with no recruitment experience. Upon joining I experienced industry leading training to help develop my recruitment skills to become one of the top performing Associates in the region. Everyone wants you to succeed and are always on hand to advise and coach. Since joining I've had 5 promotions which shows how quickly you can advance your career.

    Cons

A role in recruitment is challenging however because of this it is extremely rewarding. Hours often are long however you get out what you put in.

    Advice to Management

Continue to maintain the high performance culture as I believe this is what sets Hays apart from our competitors.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Hays (Wellington, Wellington) in May 2014.

    Interview

I spoke to the Recruiter on the phone after she contacted me once I had applied on line. We arranged a meeting for a face to face interview. I was asked thorough questions with my work history and what I wanted out of a role - pretty straight forward. I was impressed with the recruiter as she was very in depth with her questions and I felt she asked a lot of questions to fully engage and understand with what I was after.

    Interview Questions

    • Going off all your work experience, what role did you enjoy the most and why?   Answer Question

    Negotiation

I wasn't aware of that I could negotiate at this time, I just accepted the rate offered.
