Pros

Good growth prospects, company operates in a very pprofitable niche and is finally turning profitable. People are friendly by and large.

Cons

Level of nepotism is unbelievable. Sr leadership ((particularly CEO & CHRO) are hiring sons, daughters, nephews, nieces like crazy. Every 2-3 weeks a new one shows up. Mid-level managers don't have the backbone to push back. I wish I was exaggerating, but unfortunately it's true. Really demoralizing to be in such an unprofessional environment

From our CEO, Jason Grubb: "With over 1,000 employees nationwide, our philosophy is to employ team-oriented individuals with a strong work ethic who possess a high capacity to learn and an entrepreneurial spirit. We welcome the opportunity to hire ANY referral (we do not discriminate against relatives), provided they meet all the minimum requirements for the position. A major concern within most organizations is that a certain employee receives preferential treatment or is promoted into a position for which they are not qualified. This is a common risk in most companies and is not isolated to just relative relationships. More often than not, this type of “breach of trust” occurs with friendship relationships. Unequal treatment of employees regardless of the relationship (friend, relative, partner or prior colleague) is not acceptable at Exeter. Every Exeter employee is expected to perform their daily assignment for which they are compensated. Exeter has a strict nepotism policy, which prevents relatives from reporting to one another or exposes Exeter to malfeasance. Often times nepotism is created after an employee’s start date given common workplace relationships. Given these circumstances, Exeter treats both types of Nepotism (pre & post-employment) cases the same. In addition, we believe Exeter’s improved profitability is a reflection of our strategy to bring in, retain and promote individuals that exhibit our culture of excellence. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss in person. Please feel free to reach out to Human Resources, and they will in turn schedule a meeting with the appropriate parties. During that meeting we could also clarify (correct) some of your numbers. We value your opinion and would welcome the opportunity to explain any decision we have made thus far. FYI, my door is always open!"
