Pros
Pay got better per hour(15, but it caps at 15.25), 20 hours of unpaid time per 3 months, 48 hours PTO, 40-80 hours vacation (first year 40). Good medical benefits.
Cons
Monthly performance bonus and stock awards eliminated, performance goals constantly go up and most positions are performance tracked on the computer system so if you go to the bathroom, management knows and your numbers go down. Most managers are looking to write you up if you are gone for more than 10 minutes or don't let them know, despite their claims to the media of not penalizing you for bathroom breaks or requiring you to ask permission. You are just a cog in the machine and they want you to be robots. As soon as they can replace you with a robot (and they are constantly testing new machines for this purpose) you will be replaced. You feel dead at the end of the day (4 ten hour days, 10 minute breaks with long walks to get to break location or bathroom). After 4+ years I was making the cap of $13.25 then the raise came of $15 base wage company wide, yet my tenure increase was only .25. So a new person would only make 25 cents less than someone like me with 4+ years at company. Feels like a stab in the back. There's not much chance to move up the ladder since so many apply for management positions and the wage is capped essentially from the start, so it's a dead end job where you need to be like a robot. Jeff Bozos only cares about his space company.
