Pros
Lots of experience in a short period of time. I had worked for 5 clients, in 3 industries, 3 headquarters, within two and a half years. Although working for just Accenture, I had basically gone through 5 completely different jobs. So it was a great experience of breadth and an overview in general of what the corporate world can hold. Diversity is huge within Accenture, especially as it grows its offshoring to India and continuing to grow in China. I've also seen many women in manager/sr. manager positions, many people straight out of college, and a myriad of those who have been in specific industries that really help your team in various scenarios depending on which industry your working in. It is a roller-coaster place to work, then you need to ask yourself if you like roller-coasters or not...
Cons
Long long hours, you are expected to work above and beyond in order to get into that top tier of top performers. Even if you are stellar, they will find a performance feedback point. They boast about performance feedback, but when you get into your career 2+ years, you start to realize it is more or less cut-throat against your colleagues / peers. Ultimately, at the end, you are all competing against each other. I mentioned breadth of experience as a strong point, however I would have to say it is a downside as well because as you continue to do so many things in different industries / clients, you are unable to grasp a depth of knowledge or experience in any one place as you are working 1-3-6-9-12 months at a time per engagement, it is difficult to stick with one specialization since Accenture is solely driven by business need, you could be an accounting major in doing IT Programming. Accenture is always in the process of restructuring, it is never the same for any 6 month period, it is an ongoing juggernaut.
