Pros
- Pervasive company branding - Exposure to key industry players - Face time with clients - Great internal tools, e.g. intranet, blogs, wikis, communities, podcasts - Overseas training once you reach the Consultant level (though that may change....) - Growing emphasis on pro-bono work/ CSR initiatives
Cons
- Some internal politicking when it comes to performance reviews and annual 'banding', where you are rated amongst your peers - Inconsistent experience across projects - Work life balance is out of your hands - Difficult to secure cross-country transfers - VERY technology-focused - most projects are systems-integration (SI)-related, even if you are tagged to the "Management Consulting" (MC) space - Limited strategy work - very implementation/execution focused - Compensation is adequate but not stellar, standard benefits (but good compared to local firms)
