Horrible Bosses 3

Pros

Competitive Salary, some of the other people were nice

Cons

Interview took a month, including three interviews with upper level, and then Watson-Glaser and personality index test, then after I did all that I was fired after less than 6 months because my boss didn't like my work style "it's not the work you do, it's how you do it"??? This was the first time I'd ever been fired and now its a huge red flag on my resume when I apply to other places. Just do yourself a favor and avoid, wish I had.

Pros

The culture is okay, the people you work with are good people and genuinely care about their work. It's a small shop without a lot of corporate overhead.

Cons

Where do I begin? First, the three men who run the joint are technologically stuck in the year 2012 and refuse to modernize any parts of their existing application stack because they're too afraid to learn about anything made after that year. So be prepared to work on things that were obsolete when they were written and are also designed architecturally in the worst ways imaginable. Second, they don't pay for parking at the office and the parking situation there is outright hostile to anyone that doesn't want to fork over 30 bucks a month to one of the exploitative parking lot syndicates that own the surrounding lots. Third, there's absolutely zero room for upward advancement, which I suppose is typical for small dev shops, but nonetheless, if you don't come in as a senior engineer, you won't move up to being one for as long as you're there, more than likely. Fourth, the parent company is openly hostile to anyone and everyone who remotely questions anything coming down from the top or even so much as asks about employee benefits or things like PTO (which, by the way is insultingly low at 15 days). The parent company is ran by a man who is stuck in the 1980s (his father who started it all was stuck in the 1950s), and runs a "bro culture" at the very top. Some of the things I heard his cronies say on company-wide virtual meetings were egregious enough that they'd get you fired at any other mid-sized corporation for violating any number of policies against things like sexual harassment, racial discrimination, or fostering a hostile work environment TL;DR - Don't waste your time. Skip this joint and look for something else where they won't randomly fire you without notice or explanation a few months after you start.

Pros

Collaborative culture where colleagues genuinely support each other. Very willing to grow and adapt as a team. Everyone has a voice.

Cons

The fast-moving environment can lead to shifting priorities and occasional growing-pains in processes, so you have to stay adaptable.
