Element has been a great place to work. The work is exciting and fast-paced and management gives us freedom to explore, invent, and grow in our roles. The people make this one of the best places I've ever worked.

Data is sometimes a bit complex to understand. Our clients love what we're able to accomplish, though, so it makes the extra hours we put into every project worth the reward.

The people at Element are all great. No complaints at all on that end. Workloads can very week to week but generally strikes a strong work life balance. It seems like their role within the parent company is going to grow over the coming years, and they are making an attempt to modernize the tech stack to incorporate more modern tools and create a better developer experience. Management is willing to give people of all kinds of background opportunities, with several currently on staff taking unique routes to their current roles.

Parent company loves bureaucracy and uses a workplace culture model that I personally find to be obnoxious. There might not be the greatest room for upward mobility, and depending on your role you could be stuck with hours daily of menial tasks even as a more technical team member. The current tech stack is quite out of date. In general, the developer experience is a decade or more behind the modern experience.
