Nine glowing reviews at once! Sounds sketchy to me.

Pros

There are some positives to working here. The company gives a few nice perks but no more special than other technology companies.

Cons

Just want to point out that I find it odd to see nine extremely positive reviews almost all on the same day or within a couple days. Makes you wonder if the company encouraged this from some of the more privileged employees (pampered managers) that are happy to write a positive review. Don't let it fool you.

Pros

Great product, great co-workers, great location

Cons

ESET still treats its employees like children.... listen to their gripes and then send you on your way. Many teams have been frustrated by the metrics-driven management. The focus is on how many entries you make into the CRM and number of calls instead of training and nurturing talent within the departments. The quickest way to lose talent is to limit compensation. Taking away accelerators, introducing decelerators, limiting MBO payments due to company performance and killing any form of president's club gives employees not so many reasons to do just enough to get a paycheck. This company controls your OTE by raising quotas to keep you out of accelerators and limit your commission. When your compensation plan for commission changes 3 to 6 times a year, the sales team is not blind to what you are doing! All of the hokey Christmas parties, yoga classes and pizza lunches don't pay the bills. So give us all a raise instead of those rooftop stretch sessions and gay pride parade sponsorship. People come to work for money and benefits, not onsite gyms and pizza.

Pros

Great culture and people Location is amazing A really solid product and development team

Cons

ESET has become the classic example of 2 people rowing the ship and 7 people shouting "Row!" As someone who has seen a healthy amount of companies, ESET has fallen victim to a management team that breeds more management members. Instead of stocking a team full of talent, they instead focus on a top-heavy organization that will ultimately weigh them down.
