As Cordis transitions as a stand-alone organization, we realize there are areas of the company where process improvements are necessary to become the leader in the industry. A huge undertaking of this magnitude takes time and does not happen overnight. We understand true change starts with our culture and part of that culture change is evaluating how competitive we are when it comes to compensation, and our overall benefits package. We are committed to attracting the TOP talent in the market and a part of that includes changing our culture, offering competitive salaries while positioning the company to being one of the most attractive places to work by remaining committed to saving millions of lives through innovation, clinical acumen, training, and service.

Pros

Operational employees are talented, qualified and hard working team.

Cons

Majority of Senior management do not deliver on promises to their employees. They are dishonest with their messaging and I found it hard to trust what they were telling us in meetings about the future of Cordis. There is alot that happens behind the scenes that we are unaware of and the reason I had to resign my position . They do not show appreciation to their employees under their new leadership model and use pressure tactics to achieve goals.

Pros

Cordis has a very good work culture. Employees are very friendly and welcoming. They have flexible work routine. Higher management communicate well with the team and guide them in the right direction. I had a nice time working with Cordis.

Cons

Management cannot decide if they want to keep a role permanent. They hire an employee and then after a short period of time decide to remove the job role. The higher management need to take a proper decision before hiring an employee. Certain policies and procedures need to be changed by HR and higher management.

Pros

Good coworkers. Helpful intelligent and friendly.

Cons

It’s important to differentiate between the company and the ongoing separation……there is a huge workload at the moment and plenty of ambiguity in terms of processes and guidelines, but it’s a result of the business separation rather than purposeful management decisions.

Pros

You will develop a thick skin and the ability to sustain bullying by upper management.

Cons

-Lower pay than the market,no benefits/bonuses (except managers or above), overtime until 6-7pm , no life after work , no employee appreciation or lunch outs even if you save over 100k in savings (pure modern-day slavery) - Plant runs 24/7 like chickens with heads cut off - Company cuts corners by not providing essential tools and software licenses to employees and except to work (never heard off in any medical industry) - Zero innovations, R&D sleeps over investors' money -Employee turnover- 20+ engineering FTE employees leave in a year and a fresh set of noobs start over again -Zero focus on employee growth/upscaling and will obstruct you from applying for any internal positions too, leaving with only option to either survive or leave - They don't pay their supplier on time and expect raw materials to be delivered on time (no wonder)

Pros

Working with and in-servicing customers and hospital teams could be fun at times

Cons

Starting at the macro level, Cordis has a poor reputation with hospitals and providers from not keeping up with medical device innovation. When Cordis tried to be innovative, product launches failed and were retracted multiple times, ruining trust and relationships with customers. This gets no empathy from upper management, who continue to push the same products time and time again. The private equity firm that acquired Cordis completely ruined the culture of the company, trying to squeeze the most out of its employees (especially if you are not a territory manager) with little to no incentive or guidance. The private equity company also created a culture of fear with threats that the worst performers would be let go. If you don't do exactly as management says or disagree, watch out. There is no culture of collaboration, respect, or creativity. The culture was a dictatorship and people bullies. Management expects clinicals or associates to do the same job as sales people or sales persons' jobs without clarity, while providing no guidance or availability themselves. They expect you to burn the candle at both ends, travel 5 days a week (with 3 overnights a week). Do not expect any upward movement in this company, unless you get an MBA or become an interim TM with no additional pay or complaints. All in all, this was the worst company, job, and people I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my ten years in the workforce.

As Cordis transitions as a stand-alone organization, we realize there are areas of the company where process improvements are necessary to become the leader in the industry. A huge undertaking of this magnitude takes time and does not happen overnight. A focus of the new Cordis is product design and development and being up to date on the latest innovation and concept design within our industry. We understand true change starts with our culture and part of that culture is about positioning ourselves as the innovative leaders in our industry through more collaboration, empowerment, and the professional development of our teammates.
