Psychotic and Mediocre HR - Non-Existing Internal Comms

Pros

Very nice people work at the company, that’s it’s strongest skill. The problem is people don’t last happy for too long as there’s no people care whatsoever.

Cons

-HR is a team of children with no experience whatsoever. The company has serious upscaling issues and HR is severely underqualified for the task. The HR leader (and basically most of his team, as a result) is literally a psychopath who has no listening skills. Forget about talking to HR without a 10 minute introduction of unnecessary and unprofessional jokes + several minutes of getting interrupted non-stop & ironic comments + 0 resolution or answers. Forget about asking for a raise, they’ll reply you should be thankful for having a job. -Be prepared to overwork in exchange for basically no special recognition. -Internal Communications are inexistent. Nobody has clear goals other than surviving. Management is unable to give clear answers and typically you would never know how the company is doing or where things are going. -Basically it is a startup disguised as enterprise. Great customers, yet poor internal organization, structure, and internal comms. -There’s no place for introverts. They organize funny events (like summer days) and pretend people to mingle together just because.

Pros

Great benefits, good starting pay, good work life balance, and a good place to start a career.

Cons

The management team I was under had severe performance issues to us as employees - often times we were met with little to no proper guidance and leadership. There is zero room for growth/promotion unless they need a position filled. Based off the previous issue about career growth, employee retention is not a priority at this company as they will most likely encourage you to go if you present management with a competitive offer from elsewhere. If you do decide to stay after presenting them with another offer, you will be slowly out casted from the team, ultimately resulting in a "layoff" or grounds for termination. Management attempts to toot their own horn by explicitly stating "Avature experience is invaluable." There is an issue with accountability - often times management will try their best to take an easy way out and shift the blame onto others, even if they were not solely responsible for the negative outcome of their decision. Be prepared to immediately be thrown off the deep end - as an employee, you will be responsible for learning about everything on your own. The lack of onboarding and documentation on how to perform your tasks or navigating through the platform can be a daunting and overwhelming experience. Avature has created the expectation of their employees being able to "wear multiple hats" when it comes to their tasks/role. You will most likely be asked to perform different tasks outside of your job description. If you fail to meet these expectations, you will start to butt heads with management.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We are truly sorry to hear that your Avaturian experience didn’t go as expected. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all Avaturians, and we take your feedback to heart. Ensuring that Avaturians stay motivated while doing what they are passionate about is one of our top priorities, which is why we foster lots of career development opportunities so that everyone can choose their own unique path. For that, we see Avature leaders as enablers of growth, guiding and supporting Avaturians through their journeys. We are sorry if your experience didn’t reflect this, and rest assured we’ll count on your comments to continue improving. On the other hand, it is true that Consulting is a large and ever-growing team, and availability of resources for new joiners to facilitate their learning curve should be a top priority. We are actively working on enhancing our training programs and improving our onboarding processes to ensure the best possible learning experience. Thank you once again for your feedback.
