no honesty in interview/recruitment

Pros

Competitive wage, but when factoring in the extra time not paid for... not really.

Cons

Lied multiple times about the time commitment needed at my position (previous person in my position worked ~60-70 hours per week) when asked during interview process. When other staff quit or was fired the corporate solution was simply to "carry the load" while 50-60 hour weeks were regular already. PTO was virtually impossible with being minimally staffed and no overtime is paid, so could not use PTO nor could we be paid for our extra hours of work. Their counter is you can take off time that you worked extra the week prior, but this was impossible in my position (and probably many others they staff). Couldn't recommend less.

Terribly mismanaged, grossly dishonest

Pros

CEO seems to try to make everything better for his staff

Cons

Managers are terrible (very nasty) and the hours are gruesome. The director drops off the radar for days and the manager left in charge is incapable of making decisions on their own. Some staff is expected to work ridiculous hours but higher level employees and managers have shortened hours, and can leave whenever they please. When managers do show up at the office, they spend their time running personal errands, like having their nails done, and catching up on their personal grooming. After the managers put in zero effort all week, they act surprised on Friday when the team's goals haven't been met. So many lies are told when people are hired--the company doesn't hold up their end by following through on what's promised upon hire. From what I've heard, the retention is horrible and everyone quits. I would never work here again.

Pros

Initially, this position may seem as though it has several pros, such as a commission structure, working from home, etc. But I can sincerely guarantee there was no benefit in this position that can compensate for the insurmountable stress, de-humanization, and manipulation you will experience at this company. This is not a safe place to work, they WILL fire you, without cause. This happened to several members of my regional team, regardless of their high performance. If job security is important to you, this is the last company you should consider working for.

Cons

Where to begin? Starting with the basics, this company offers terrible benefits with no more than 15 days off for the entire year, including any sick time you may need. You are allowed to work from home, but they will micromanage you through the entire day and do not respect non-work hours. I would receive calls from team members as early as 5am, and would often be dealing with applicant correspondence until 8-9pm. - This is an EXPECTED part of your job, they will not allow you to set any work/life balance boundaries. If you do, you likely end up terminated. Many of the companies you will be filling positions for are corrupt. You will be asked to veil the truth to encourage applicants and get them through the door for interviews. If you have someone fail to show up for an interview/etc, regardless of the effort you put in to ensure its success, this failure will come down on you hard. They have no patience for human error and will hold you accountable for things outside of your control. They will steal your last commission check if they do choose to fire you. They do this by firing you right before the pay period you are expected to receive it. There are no warnings or performance plans, they let individuals go constantly and unexpectedly, regardless of their performance or how much the team is struggling - expectations for the region stay the same regardless of the number of recruiters. You will feel sick, exhausted, and as though you are drowning every moment that you work for this company. The culture is fraudulent, toxic, and absent of any desire to improve. They will ask you how Astrix can be better, but if you are sincere in your answers you will likely end up on a list of people that they want to weed out. They will cover this by saying you are, "not the right fit," for the company. Because the "right fit" is someone willing to do the absolute most without objection, someone who doesn't question the nature of how things are done, and someone who is willing to forget their humanness. Astrix Technology is not a company that will respect you, and you will still be looking for a new job the entire time you are working here -desperate to get out.
