Pros

Very few, if any. There are far better places to work than Analyte Health.

Cons

This job has been one long disappointment. Managers show no concern for their staff and offer zero direction or support. Growth is almost nonexistent, and the pay is embarrassingly low compared to similar roles elsewhere.

Pros

Daily catered lunch for all employees, required breaks that were paid, above average pay for what's essentially a job in a call center. When I was hired they liked to hire people from the acting community so all of my co-workers were also performers. Overall I really loved the people I worked with on a day to day basis. Everyone was smart and driven and had a good sense of humor* (more on this in the cons). We were all extraordinarily educated on information pertaining to what we discussed with callers (i.e. issues pertaining to sexual health). I had a full forty hours of training in sexual health before I ever spoke to a patient. Company was very responsible about HIPAA compliance. Co-workers were absolutely wonderful and interested in being friends outside of work. With the exception of a few, every single person in the company was great to be around.

Cons

Unfortunately, a lot of the pros of working for Analyte were in the first year or so of my employment there. After that there was a sharp drop-off where the whole company culture shifted. They stopped treating the CA (Care Advisor) team like adults and instead treated us like little kids. In regards to the above asterisk, management discovered that when you hire smart, driven people those people question changes to policy that seem on the shady side of ethical. They also communicate with each other about the company and management and can see through smoke screens meant to deceive them, the lowest ranked employees. They also tend to get bored when you promise advancement opportunities but don't come through. A big problem was a distinct shift in a 'patient focused' attitude to one entirely about money. The call script shifted away from really listening to caller concerns and became almost entirely about making and closing the sale of STD testing as quickly as possible. CAs were required on multiple occasions to account for every minute of their time-AKA noting whenever they got up to use the bathroom or get water. When I left, upper level employees told me that the company might move into selling testosterone tests, something that just about no one needs, but a huge money-maker. People that had problems with a money-centered approach were fired or laid-off, including the medical director. At one point a huge percentage of CAs were laid-off at once and almost all of them were people that vocally questioned the changes in policy and company attitude. However, all of this may have changed in the two or so years since I left! Entirely possible that they returned to the business model that existed when I first started. I would not rule it out as a workplace.

Analyte's Big Change: The Good and the Bad

Pros

Sales floor is friendly and inviting, and CAs are very helpful and informative. You will get out what you put into this job (they will recognize hard work with rewards and acknowledgments). The pay is very reasonable for the work that you're doing, and benefits are available for minimum hours worked. Great sales experience and opportunities for growth if you seek it out. The chance to really help people is a wonderful aspect, and bonuses are available for high sales numbers. Also, free catered lunches and outside company activities make the long hours on the phones worth it!

Cons

Upper management does not communicate well with the sales team and leaves them in the dark about a lot of important matters, which makes the Care floor feel undervalued and unheard. The new CEO is very present in the office but rarely, if ever, acknowledges the sales center, ignoring the people that keep this business alive and the work they do. Since he's come on board, the CA role has morphed from a position that involves both sales and patient care to just selling a product and reaching a goal. While I understand this business model is important to a growing start-up looking to expand their features and branding, it seems to only benefit one part of the company and leave the others unmotivated and discouraged due to the lack of acknowledgement for their hard work.

Pros

Fixed scheduled, good commission, work from home

Cons

CEO makes rude comments to employees in Slack. Laid off an entire department without any warning. (other companies I have worked for announced possible layoffs so employees could make arrangements) No yearly raises (do not expect to get pay increases or move up in the organization). Worst health insurance I've ever had that makes it very difficult to see doctors but still costs $50 a week Look up the previous company name HEALTH LABS for more accurate reviews

Pros

Free lunches, easy work schedule

Cons

The upper management is a complete joke. HR is an even bigger joke. This place is honestly a sinking ship and it is a miserable place to be. Don't expect to move up in this company either. There's no room for growth and the pay is terrible.

Pros

Analyte was made up of a good group of people that tried to make life enjoyable at work. A lot has changed since I left and I think a lot of those people have left as well.

Cons

Pay was not great to say the least but other perks made up for it slightly. I mean I would have preferred more money than catered lunch but I wasn't complaining...

Low pay, not much room for advancement. Management is also an issue.
